Amish Style Fried Apples


A quick side to go with any meal.


  • 1 ½ pounds apples, peeled, cored and sliced (Granny Smith is best)
  • 1 ½ tbsps sugar
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg
  • ¼ cup butter


  1. Toss apple slices with cinnamon, nutmeg and sugar.
  2. Heat in a skillet. Add apples. Cook until tender, turning them as they cook to brown on all sides. Takes about 10 minutes. *Be careful not to overcook them.
