Strawberry Pretzel Salad

A sweet dessert with just the right amount of crunch.


Ingredients:

  • 2 cups crushed pretzel sticks
  • ½ cup white sugar
  • ¾ cup butter softened
  • ⅓ cup chopped pecans
  • 8 ozs cream cheese
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 2 cups rich's topping
  • 6 ozs strawberry jell-o
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 20 ozs chopped strawberries

Directions:

  1. Mix crushed pretzels (not to fine), 1/2 cup white sugar, butter and pecans together. Press into lightly greased 9x13 pan.
  2. Bake for 10 min. at 350 F.
  3. Cool. Combine cream cheese, 1 cup white sugar, and whipped topping.
  4. Spread on top of first layer. Dissolve jell-o in water.
  5. Add strawberries when 75% congealed, put on top of cream cheese mixture.
  6. Refrigerate for several hours or overnight.
