Tuscarawas Philharmonic - Mystical Dreams

Dreams and visions … music seems to be a great inspiration for seeing what can only be imagined. In this concert, we’ll experience music that transports us to worlds that are vivid but unseen in Five Mystical Songs, Ralph Vaughan Williams’ pastoral setting of poet George Herbert’s verse filled with heavenly images. Then, we’ll step into Impressionist paintings and breathe the air in the hypnotic Nocturnes by Claude Debussy. The haunting Clouds, magical Festivals, and serene Sirenes take us to another time and place where we follow our bliss.
