Who says a farm only produces crops? This family-owned business has been operating for more than a decade on the original family farm, and all handmade items are still produced here. A retail showroom has been opened to keep up with the demand.

"Our big thing here is that we are family-owned and operated," owner John Gingerich said. "We're trying to give customers good quality at a fair price. We know they can trust us to do it right if they bring in a sketch of something they want, an idea in their head, or even a picture out of a magazine."
It’s that kind of business motto that gives Prairie Lane Furniture an edge over the competition. Even with a store that is “off the beaten path,” the positive comments and happy customers continue to make the business prosper.
The Amish business makes every piece of furniture in its showroom right on the farm.
In the 3,000-square-foot retail store, customers can find more than 100 different wood products. But the options do not end there.
Prairie Lane Furniture strives to provide customers with exactly what they want. One way they do that is to specialize in customized furniture that is many times difficult to find in other stores.
Shoppers are encouraged to personalize each piece by choosing the design, wood, stain or paint choice. After making these decisions, it takes about eight weeks for the products to be completed.

We have been shopping at Prairie Lane Furniture for many years. We first found them when the show room was located on the family farm. We have bought lots of furniture from Prairie Lane and we have recommended them to other family members and friends who have bought lots of furniture from them. We have never been disappointed. We visit there every time we are in the area (several times a year) even when we don't need furniture.
